I am not pretending the data doesn't exist. I like science a lot, I have an engineering degree, so I am not afraid of data. One of my youth workers at church is a rocket scientist (literally, he has a PhD from Georgia Tech in aerospace engineering) and he is a literal six day creationist. Yet we don't pretend the data is not there, that would be stupid. However, we don't pretend that scientists are neutral men in white lab coats who are unbiased either. Like it or not, people have worldviews. If someone has already accepted evolution, they will interpret their data with that mind frame. Same goes for a creationist.

I would just point out as well that there are many creation scientist who deal with the data in a micro sense.
