    ituttut;

    I am stating that there is a principle of obedience involved. Regardless of how a person is baptized (though scripturally I believe the correct way is total immersion) the true fact God is looking for is the willingness of obedience. Baptism is not a requirement for salvation but it is a showing of an obedient servant. I am simply stating that whosoever refuses baptism, and I do mean refuses, is in sin.

    Hello again GODzThunder. I am a saved sinner, and all of my sins were forgiven when I believed on His name. None are left. If I rebelled, then I am not saved. Is that what you are saying? It sure looks like it, or do you think He means what He says. You have judged I have rebelled against God? He will judge you and I, and what we believe. Rewards will be commensurate. Why do you still believe in the works of the hand today? Jesus Christ gave two commands, and one way that we are to remember Him today. Should we add to His Word? This is what Eve did, and that is why she cannot be a Pastor of a church.

    But Baptism is a requirement, and I had no chance to refuse. Who refused saving baptism? Not I! I refuse to believe a work is required. I refuse to believe some work that I do has anything to do with me obeying His Word. You cannot find in His Word that I must be water baptized. If the work of physical water baptism is necessary, then why does the Apostle John never mention this in His writings? Jesus Christ while on the earth told His people (they have a two way covenant with Him) to be water baptized for the remission of sins. Have you done this to get rid of your sins? Is that the way you were saved? If not, what is the purpose? If you feel you must, I don’t believe this means you sinned; it is just a work that will be burned.

    I live in His dispensation of Grace that was not known are explained to man until Damascus Road and afterwards. Your premise of my disobedience is false, as I have been made righteous in Christ. You may think you can kick me out of His Church, but I am sealed in just like you. You may not like it, but we just have to finally say, thank you for saving me. You may say, I don’t understand it, as I see people here that I believe have sinned. How is that possible? Oh! Now I see, for I also am a saved sinner.

    In His Church, The Body of Christ, I find peace and understanding, as in Him we are dead to the law, and where no law is, there is no transgression (Romans 4:15). ”Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth” Romans 8:33.

    Let me get this straight. The "one baptism" that we share is SPIRIT baptism, not WATER baptism into fellowship of a local church?

    If you are not WATER baptized or do not believe in it for today, please leave the Baptist-only forum immediately and go to the "other religion" section.

    Thank you.

    Ituttut, you speak in your post as if I am saying that baptism is required for salvation but if you read my post you will see that I said it is not.

    You also seem to have a belief that faith without works is a living faith.

    I am not saying that refusal to take part of baptism is a sign of a lacking of genuine salvation. Nay, I am saying that the absolute refusal to take part in Baptism is the sign of a saved but sorry Christian!

    I walked the isle at the age of 9, thereby being saved. The next Sunday I was baptized into the Baptist church. They have yet to “kick me out”.

    Dear Christian friend, this is the second time you have asked me to leave, and I did, and I will. I made a Post on the "other religion" forum, that you advised me to, and I then found in my email a very delightful surprise. The email advised they had moved my post from the “other religion” to “Baptist only”.

    So here I am back, perhaps not by popular demand, but by some that believe I am a Christian, and still a Baptist. I will happily remove myself once again at your request, for I do not wish to force my association on one of authority on this board, not wishing to share fellowship with another Christian that has been immersed in water and baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

    Perhaps I’ll not receive an email this time around, should I make another post for those “outside” of this separated from other Christian folk; And I will understand as I do seem to be a disruption here, where some wish to place on what a Christian can believe, and still be a Christian, but perhaps cannot see me in the Baptist part of the Body of Christ’s Church.

    Thanks for letting me stay and visit for a while. See you up there.

    Christian faith, ituttut-cimmic
