    Really? Do you have a problem with a 5th grader being able to understand the Word of God?

    Not at all. I have my doubts that Grudem would recommend his book for a fifth grader.

    Why would he have a problem with it? My daughter would have been able to read it with a teacher's guidance like we do with all of homeschooling.

    Just stating an opinion. If I had set out to write a seminary level systematic theology text book that ended up being easily accessible to a fifth grader, I would felt I failed in my writing intent.

    I know some pretty bright 10 year old's . I would not assume they could not understand at least some of Grudem's systematic theology.

    I've always heard you don't truly understand something until you can explain it to a child. Grudem shows his vast understanding of theology by his ability to make it accessible to most people.

    This is very true. One's mastery of a subject in their ability to break complex ideas down.

    So from what I gather (correct me if I'm wrong) what your talking about is not the study of theology, but more along the lines of a catechism, here are the right answers.

    You definitely don't get that from Grudem. There is good discussion involved in his book.
