What are some ways your church reaches out to the community, the country, and the world? Please be specific.

We have a homless ministry where we try to help those in need by giving them clothes, a place to stay for few days, food and spiritual help as well.

We also pray for our country and other countries aroung the world. We also send mission teams to minister the missionaries in other countries.

We changed our usual Sunday night service a few years ago to a service for young adults 18-35, since that is the main demographic of Arlington, which is also 95% unchurched.

It's called Crosspoint and it has attraced young adults, including unbelievers. Many have then become members and are serving in various areas of ministry.

We also have Salty Saturday, a day when people from the church help someone with practical needs -- like painting the house, cleaing up the yard, fixing meals, etc.

Our church is also very missions minded with over 30% of the budget set aside for missions.

Church services held at local city park and providing dinner for all afterward. (All are welcome)

Block parties in local neighborhoods. (especially low income areas)

Passing out Jesus Video. Locally, Las Vegas, and VanCouver Canada. Also the county fair, and Gus Macker basketball tournaments.

    Fall Festival. (Halloween Alternative)

Christmas parade. (A float telling the true meaning of Christmas. Passing out leaflets about how Jesus Christ saves.)

    Samaritans Purse. "Operation Christmas Child"

These are just a few off the top of my head.

The Philadelphia Food Bank offers food to charitable organizations for about 10 cents on the dollar (donated foods from various originations that would otherwise probably go to waste).

A few women revitalized the ministry of helps about two years ago when they began spending about $500 dollars a month of the deacon funds offerings in this program.

The church was honored by a newly opening "Home Depot" this month for being the second largest group helping the needy in our area. Currently we serve about 175 people a month with groceries. They provided a can drive and money for the program and a photo op for the church.

Last Wednesday we had a dinner for those we serve; about 75 individuals attended, were fed a good thanksgiving dinner and heard the gospel of Christ preached.

I missed the end (I was in charge of the parking lot) but I heard that there were some interested in hearing more about Christ.

Every wednesday we go to a nearby trailer park and meet with all the children and have stories, songs, and games. We have brought several families into our church through this ministry.

Weekly visitation by the Sunday School teachers, the Junior church leader is always visiting, and the youth pastor takes the teens with him on these visitations. Our outreach includes Proteens, Patch the Pirate, Growing Kids God's Way classes, the Christian School, and our hefty missions budget, 18 different missionary families in 18 different locations around the globe.

I forgot the nursing home every other Sunday, the Rodeo parade float, Vacation Bible School, and the local outreach to the Ute tribe.
