Does anyone here understand that we have all fallen into one of Aslanspal's traps? And that he is sitting in front of his computer getting a big kick out of all of our answers and that he only posted this to incite rancor among us and to try to prove how judgmental we Baptists can be?
    Aslanpal? Our you enjoying this?:wavey:

The Bible makes it clear that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. (Acts 2:21, John 3:16-18, Acts 16:31, John 11:25-26, Hebrews 10:17-18, Mark 16:16)

It is unfortunate that Anna Nicole obviously did not receive the discipleship and guidance she needed to life the kind of abundant life promised to followers of Christ. However, your theology is one of salvation by works, not by grace through faith. Salvation comes first, the lifestyle is a product of discipleship afterward. Grace gets you into the kingdom, and a person who has received Christ as their savior inherits the kingdom by God's grace. Your true nature and your heart cannot save you, no matter what your lifestyle. Regardless of Anna Nicole's lifestyle, if she genuinely received Christ at some point in her life, she was forgiven of all her sins. Therefore, her spiritual lifestyle was covered by the blood of Christ, regardless of her earthly lifestyle.

As long as we live in the flesh, we have a mote in our eye. I think the scripture is pretty clear about our judgement of someone else's lifestyle and spiritual condition. It's hard to see what God may have done with someone else as long as that beam is there.

T_P, Let me see if I have this right:

It's the churches fault if anyone rejects Jesus and His free gift of salvation, lives a godless life, and and spends eternity in hell.

I sure hope I'm misunderstanding you.

It's the church's fault if someone is needy and the church does not reach out to fill that need.

I would think that this is obvious.

if a person wants noting to do with church or christianity, how can we do anything about it? we can not force them, or force ourselves on them.

You are right and it is the job of the Holy Ghost. It is not known by us nor has it been proven that the church failed at anything regarding AS.

Christian individuals can be loving, helpful and compassionate in a time of need without forcing anything on anyone.

And then there are people who just will not accept that loving, helpful, compassionate care and it's not our fault if they don't.

Honestly, I'm sure there are MANY who say that Jesus is their Lord and Savior - even Jehovah's Witnesses say that (I've had them say that to me specifically) but that doesn't make them saved. What matters is their heart. When I saw that video, she had NO clue what she was saying - she was grasping at words constantly. It makes me wonder what was wrong with her. The fact that there are no less than 3 or 4 men claiming to be Anna's daughter's father makes me think that there was no true salvation there - but I can certainly be wrong on that. Only God knows but to say "We will absolutely share heaven with Anna Nicole Smith" is wrong. We cannot be sure of that at all.

This does not always produce the results you seem to be insisting on.

So much discussion about one poor soul. It is very hard to lose a son. I'm not sure how I would cope with such a heart rending loss? I feel very sad for her. We all have choices in life and some choices we can control, but some end up controlling us. Shouldn't we rather look to ourselves than judging this poor woman. "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy".

    Who did that, though?

Not doing it produces the results ANS suffered. That is my point.

the mouth can say anything, how we live shows what we really believe. if we love God we will live like we do. drugs, alcohol, sex, playboy magazine, consistantly in a persons live does not say they love God.

Can you tell us how a righteous Lot lived that warranted him being called "righteous"?

... you personally know people who ministered to Ms. Smith? When? In what way? For how long and to what extent?

Good, I'll stitch it on my jacket.

Only regenerated souls will be in heaven, and they will have perfect bodies, so yer post is quite correct.
