Web Video: 23 minutes in hell

I'm not sure it is possible to spend 23 minutes in hell and then return to life and get a second chance. Scripture seems to indicate that once a person has passed into eternity there is no turning back (Heb 9:27). While there very well are some exceptions (Lazarus, etc) those are very much exceptions and not the rule. People may come close to death and have what is termed a negative or hellish near death experience (NDE) but a person does not actually die and spend 23 minutes in hell and then return.

The sound recording at the start of that video is suppose to be the sounds from hell (I think). I know I have heard it before with that claim attached to it. Personally I think it sounds like a person speaking with various recordings (etc) placed over it. Or it could be dramatized. We can't get a sound recording of hell. If we could I don't think we would hear the devil laughing (because he does not want to be in hell - Rev 20:10) nor do I think we would hear those types of screams (of torture). I think we would hear the sounds of final justice. I think, and this is my opinion, that we would hear people asking for their living loved ones to be spared that place, they would be asking for mercy for themselves as well. Hell is not torture, like it was presented in the middle ages, hell is final justice.

 

I think the sound at the beginning is the THX music. Oh, you mean THAT beginning. Never mind.

 

I'm about halfway through it. It's very interesting.

 

He'll think he's in hell when LucasFilms sues him for illegal infringement of the THX audio logo!

 

His story had the ring of truth, but I was disappointed when he started saying that God doesn't want anyone to be sick, etc. The way he put it made it seem like God is grieved when we get sick, but God is somehow powerless to do anything about it. That makes me question his entire testimony.

 

Wouldn't the recording device melt from the heat?

Well, that's good enough for me. Wait, that's what sufficient means... never mind.

 

This kind of thing is on a par with several others. One even wrote a book, "A Divine Revelation of Hell."

Some have gone to 'heaven" and come back to tell us a bout it, others have been to "hell".

What seems to be significant about most (if not all ) of these "testimonies" is that they end up making the circuit of the charismaniac churches raking in handsome "love offerings".

And rarely are these "stories" completely faithful to what we have in the biblical record. I will even go so far as to say, IMO, they never are faithful to scripture.

 

And what if a monkey is elected President....oh wait...uh...never mind.

 

I will say this. Dwight L. Moody stated that God allowed him to see hell for just a FEW SECONDS and it RADICALLY altered his witnessing to men about the coming judgment. And what he saw in those seconds cause him to cry out to God to stay His hand for he could not take it anymore.

It has been stated before that dream/vision (I don't remember which it was) hundreds were saved, but afterward thousands. It placed such an urgency that he could not even sleep until he witnessed to enough people that at least ONE person received gospel truth. Sometimes he would witness to 50 or 100 before even one believed the gospel truth. The difference was urgency of eternty due to understanding of our calling.

These people go around and tell their story but you see or hear VERY LITTLE if at all about them hitting the streets daily with passion that at least ONE today will not know torments of hell. Aside from the fact all that I have ever read and heard fall short of scriptural heaven and even worse hell.
