Weird, comical, unusual team nicks/mascots

    My personal favorite is a rugby team in Montana -the Missoula Maggots

    Yes, Stanford used to be the Indians but that wasn't PC. So, of course, they decided to become the Cardinal which is either one lone bird or a shade of red. I'm not sure which and they probably aren't either. But it won't offend anyone (except maybe the bird).
