Rich Rodriguez and Matt Millen have completely destroyed football in Michigan for the next decade.

And Webdog, a bad UM program is bad for OSU in the long run - i.e., competing for national titles, etc. You need the Big Ten to be strong.

Big Ten and "strong"in the same sentence? I'm an OSU fan, but hardly a Big Elev-Ten fan.

Well, in theory they should be...

...but all teams IMO aren't treated equally with regards to NCAA investigation's and punishment.

But if you ever want OSU to gain respect nationally and do better in the polls (which still carry a lot of weight), then you need the Big Ten to be stronger. Why would want your team to play in a sub-par conference?

Yes, I meant in the "state of Michigan." Millen decimated the Lions of Detroit, and Rich Rod is doing the same in Ann Arbor at UofM.

You want a strong conference, like Andy alluded to. Has it helped Ohio St. that its last two trips to the BCS title games were manhandlings at the hands of an SEC foe, which is a clearly superior conference? Of course, some in the SEC make the argument that the SEC beats up on itself too much, but three of the last four national title winners came from the SEC.

That said, the only team I hate worse than Bama is Michigan (I spent my childhood in Ohio), so it's hard to feel empathy. But did I enjoy it when Bama fell on hard times and fell off the table?

    Yeah, I did......never mind

Okay...not really. You have to have your arch rival be in a position of strength. It's no fun pounding them every year.

    Just kidding...yes it is

Now we know why Michigan football has gone downhill the past few years. Apparently, they are recruiting too many players who aren't willing to put in the time to get good enough to compete on the top level of NCAA football.

These whiners should have manned up and gone directly to Coach Rodriguez and/or the athletic director if there was any basis to this, instead of whining to their parents and to a newspaper.
