    I would consider that witty had I not heard exactly the same thing quoted verbatum many many times before...it's a catch phrase. Catch phrases tend to lose their validity when they lose their originality...no offense. But what are your convictions?

    I believe that living the Christian life is a process... a lifelong process. I think it's very important to read and study the Bible. It's necessary for an ever closer walk with Christ.

  3. I my standards in short I hope are from the Holy Bible(KJB ONLY). Salvation is a growing process but that should not be an excuse for sin.
    I agree with others that many who can live in sin and never get chastised are not saved.

    Titus 1:16 "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."(KJB)

    My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Y'shua's blood and His righteousness;
    I dare not trust the sweetest frame
    But wholly lean on Y'shua's name.

    On my Messiah, the Solid Rock I stand
    All my personal standards are sinking sand

    And if I rely upon them to bring me to our Lord,
    I rely upon the wrong thing.

    However, I have strong, high personal standards
    I do live by, but by defiinition, personal
    standards are personal, meaning they stop
    where my personal space ends.

    It all sums up to this:

    God's standard: Taught in God's Word

    Man's standard: Not taught in God's Word
