On my nightstand . . . is whatever my cat hasn't pushed off! She likes to perch on it and look out the window. *grumble* *grumble* [IMG] So, I don't keep much of anything on my nightstand these days, just a lamp and a cat (who really likes the lamp).

But following the gist of the thread . . . the books closest to my bed are The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares, The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein and The History of Sexuality by Michel Foucault are in a stack on the floor next to my bed.

I don't keep my Bible by the bed. It's on the kitchen table with some other books and a notebook or two (it doesn't get used for eating too much - the table, I mean).

    Hi Rev G.
No, I haven't but the title sure is right !!

I'm wading my way through this one and Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology (more as a reference than straight, full-time reading). I'll give it a go this spring though.

    Thanks and God bless !!

"The Glory of Christ" by John Owen. A puritan classic. It's a must read

"Eyewitness to Power" by David Gergen. This man was a presidential advisor to Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Clinton. He writes of his experiences and leadership lessons gleaned from each.

Adventures of Clifford, the Big Red Dog; Junior's Colors; and Time for Tom (Veggie Tales) are the three on top. There is a large stack!
I am impressed that Abiyah is reading Eusebius!! [IMG]
As for me, I am waiting on the next book in my series to come out.

I have been looking at some books relating to Messianic Jews. I am reading a good one at present called "The Final Words of Jesus" by Jacob Prasch. really interesting, particuarly the points he makes concerning parallels between Joseph and his Technicolour coat and Jesus Christ. Powerfull stuff.

And you will probably find a few car magazines about the place also!

    Katie says...

If you like your fiction to be "accurate" then this a book for you. Mr. Burkett certainly did a ton of research for this novel. It's got more teachings to astronomy and the workings of our Sun than I was taught in my high school science class.

    God Bless!!!

D-Day by Stephen Ambrose and Reforming Marriage by Douglas Wilson (among several others). These are the two that I am making the most effort at at the present time.

The Beloved Land by Janette Oke and T. Davis Bunn. I'm trying to read something that I don't really have to concentrate on right now. I also have "The complete works of Beatrix Potter" sitting on my desk :D
