Unfortunately some use the Military as their personal entitlement program. Then when they are called on to fulfill their obligation they cry foul.

Like any person who enlist their services they just want to be used in a responsible way. Liberating the Iraqis from their dictator though a very noble cause is not responsible leadership.

When you join the service it is made clear your life is no longer your own. You dont even get to keep you teeth if they dont want you to. You go to any combat situation regardless of your beliefs. If you are not ready to do that you have lied when you took your oath to join the service. Everyone knows what they are getting into. No one is caught by surprise when the volunteer. What we have are those who join to get the benefits only. And the few who join to create a stir by claiming consciencious objector at the last minute.

There is no such thing as a service member who can or should say my leaders are wrong. You do what you are told. Period

If that is a problem then the service is not for you. Everyone knows this when they join.

this is quite true. We've seen posted here time after time, service people crying because they have to actually do something to earn all the money and free education they receive from the government. they think it's all perfectly free and they don't have to do anything.
Not everyone in WWI and WWII went willingly. But some saw defense of our nation as their duty. No big bucks required to buy their allegiance.

    You've gotta be kidding....

Sir, while I thank you for your post, I disagree with this point. I refuse to follow an illegal or immoral order. We also have an obligation to the Constitution and the American people to say a leader's wrong when such a person is advocating or even ordering something illegal or immoral.

What was the bottom line? No change in murders of unborn children. He's a hypocrite. He didn't really do anything to reverse the Republican Supreme Court's Roe vs. Wade decision.

Don I served in the marine corps for 4 years. I am well aware of what we should and shouldnt do. If you are not prepeared to go where you are told to go then the Military is not the place for you.

Not every Democrat, including me, is pro-abortion. I just get sick of the hypocrisy.

Yep, I'm pretty sick of the hypocrisy of those who wear the name of Christ and yet consistantly fall in line with the political party that openly advocates being in favor of abortion and homosexual marriage etc...:praying:

Yea, I'm pretty sick of some equating the Republicans lip service to what they actually care about.

In all reality, I could care less about homosexual marriage, that's God's department. I'm for marriage being a man and woman but if those freaks want to get married, I say let em. God can punish them.

OK, I just collected enough information to shred your claim of Planned Parenthood giving Bush money, have you edited that out, or did I get my threads confused ?
