Has he ever preached repentance in a message? Dealing with stress, enemies, discouragment, etc is all well and good but what about the greatest need? What about salvation?

At this point I am not a fan.

I think his church is so big because he won't teach the whole truth that could offend anyone to leave. Jesus drew lines in the sand and many stopped following him. A Calvinist one said"we don't preach the gospel well enough for the non elect to reject it."

Sin, hell, and Satan are no longer on the menu at this church, from now on we will only talk about the goodness of God.~ Joel Osteen

3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

If we all stay in the word of God, we will be able to spot these men.

The problem is that so many today are so biblically illiterate that it is very easy for false teachers to creep into the church.

Romans 2:[4] Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
