My problem: I've always been a democrat who supports the working man. However, I don't want to vote for Obama. It's not that I don't like Obama; I certainly don't have the feeling displayed here by many. I just don't think he has done a good job, period. Nothing personal, just not a good fit.

What I might do is vote a straight democratic ticket except for the presidency and vote for Romney.

I like Romney, but I have a difficult time believing he will do much of what he says he will. The reason is he has changed positions on many issues for years and has the propensity to say only what the audience wants to hear.

I believe the deciding factor is that, trustworty or not, Romney has business experience and hopefully he will be able to turn the economy around. I also like the fact that Romney worked with a democratic legislature when he was Governor. Hopefully, he will be able to reach across the ailse and get things done.

I forgot to mention that I will probably also vote for Cruz for Senate. I supported him against Dewhurst because I can't stand Dewhurst.

Look at it this way: Though you like Romney, you're not sure about him. You don't like Obama, and based on the last four years we know what he would do with another term. A chance for a change, or more of the same.

Arbo, do you realize thats the platform that got the last knucklehead elected? BTW... From my studies on German History, that banner got Adolph Hitler elected too.

Look at it this way: The devil you know is preferred to the devil you don't know.

No dispute from me about either point, but I think that there's some validity to the known/unknown line of reasoning. Romney says what he will do. Will he do it? We don't know, but those who vote for him hope so. We already know, based on the last four years, what another Obama term would be like.

Looks like the classic ice cream close to me. If you've never been involved in sales the ice cream close is a way to funnel a prospective buyer down from many choices to just two.

It works like this. Suppose I said to you I'm going to take you out to dinner tonight and you get to choose the place you want to eat. Which do you prefer McDonalds or Burger King?

See what just happened? I funneled you down from many choices to just two. Nevermind there are many better diners out there to choose from you are only given the option of picking one of two predetermined places to dine. Keep in mind now that no matter which one you choose you'll be dining on food filled only with empty calories.

Works the same way in politics. The two major political parties and the mass corporate media are the salesmen and their job is to sell you a certain predetermined product. In this case a devil. As salesmen they are going to do everything they can to funnel you down to making a choice between their two devils.

In other words what the two major political parties and the mass corporate media has done is robbed you of the notion you have alternatives from which to choose. It's their job and they do it very well every election cycle.

So which do you prefer devil "A" or devil "B"? Tough choice isn't it? There are of course alternatives out there so we don't have to vote for either of their devils but they'd rather we didn't think in those terms and they've invested billions of dollars to make us believe we have to pick one of their devils. Maybe you should look into some of the alternatives instead of what the two major parties and the mass corporate media are offering us Robert. Don't let em scam you into believing you have to choose between their two devils. You don't.

Here's just one alternative. Gary Johnson.

LOL, your playing Russian roulette with one of the creeps & the other one (other creep) you know you can mitigate by focusing on selecting an apposing Congress. I dont know, but as for me... I am a bit of a control freak. The only problem for me anyway is that selection is galling. I hate what BO stands for, hated him 4 yrs ago & I dont like the feel of voting for him because I would have then compromised my beliefs. Then there is always impeachment if BO really skrews up....same goes for that Mormon Block-of Wood with eyes.

Russian roulette? Hardly. It's a vote based on a calculated guess of what each candidates' terms would look like in the next four years.

Do I like Obama? No. Is Romney my preferred choice to run on the Republican ticket? No. Would I trust Congress to impeach Obama to keep him in check if needed? No.

I have decided to vote for what I consider to be the lesser of the evils: Romney for President, Tommy Thompson for (WI) Senate, and my congressman running for reelection; because these people are closer in philosophy to what I believe than the Democratic alternatives.

Honest response. At least you don't exhibit the hatred for the man that a lot of folks on here do.

Not just robbed. Just flat out convinced them they don't have any other viable alternatives or else "their votes won't really count".

What Christians use the Bible as a tool to pursue a socialist, liberal agenda?

Seems to me as though Christians have used the bible to convince ourselves that the socialist liberal agenda is the only danger we face.

Yea friends hold up your hands and repeat after me, "there is no globalist agenda, there is no globalist agenda, there is no globalist agenda" Yea friends now let's all bow our heads and forget the massive amount of evidence that supports the existence of a globalist agenda because we all know in our hearts of hearts there is only one agenda to fear the socialist, liberal agenda!

Vote For Your Favorite Globalist Today! And we'll never have to worry about losing another election so long as we live forever and ever Amen!

And now let's all "crouch down and lick the hand that feeds us, may our chains set lightly upon us, and may posterity forget that we were" once a great and free nation.

BINGO. Because that's what those pushing the global agenda have convinced conservatives is going on: that they don't have an agenda and it's just those nutcase conspiracy theorists who think there's an agenda to bring about a one world globalist agenda.

The difference between Poncho and Zaac is honesty and pure deception.
