Really? After the last 9 months of interacting (and ignoring) the many non cal's on this board and the countless threads started you start another one with this generic question?!?

Please stop spamming the board (and it's "exactly").

Cals/Arms/otrhers ALL claim the Bible as their primary source for their doctrines...

what else would NON Cals recommend to read to know what is taught and believed in?

Seriously, Jesus Fan, There is no single non-cal theology. there are many variations.

It's like asking, what is THE non-premillinial theology, or what is THE non-baptist theology?

What 12Strings said. Are you asking about arminian authors? pelagian authors? semi-pelagian authors? Or the many variations of each?

How about the hyper-calvinist authors, vice the calvinist authors? i.e., Puritans vice Baptist calvinists?

How about lutheranism, which is considered in some circles to be different from both calvinism and arminianism?

If you're asking about arminianism, you might try Mennonite authors; as a general rule, but not for every Mennonite, they tend to agree with (not follow) arminianism more than calvinism.

It is the most meaningless title in the history of humanity, I imagine.

EVERYBODY who is not a calvinist is non-cal. That doesn't tell anybody a THING about what you believe.

It just tells people what you are against.

I cannot imagine a more worthless title.

    Atheists are non-cals.
    Mormons are non-cals.
    Satan worshipers are noncals.

A title is only meaningful if it tells people what you ARE- it is worthless if it JUST tells people what you are NOT.

But the reason this is the most popular title for these people is because they HAVE NO THEOLOGY.

No one has ever systematized it. It has no historical roots. It makes no logical sense.

It is nothing but the result of this rabid independence that the last 100 years of American Christians have so vehemently sought for.

They like it because you cannot pin it down nor hold it accountable nor even question it.

These types of people like that kind of thing. That like being masters of their own destinies and they despise being called on the carpet or demanded upon to give an account for what they believe.

Some of these people like Winman, if you question WHERE they got what they believe, they will say- FROM GOD. They got it from GOD. Who are you and I to question these people who don't need stupd seminary degrees, who don't need commentaries or lexicons or historical grammatical helps or the Church's 2,000 years of developmental history??????

They don't need such stupid things! Oh no. GOD ALMIGHTY talks to them in their hearts. They talk to GOD and GOD talks to them! How DARE you question these people who commune face to face with the ALMIGHTY- whose hearts are in tune with the Holy Ghost so much that they- on the rare occasion when they don't just automatically understand a text- they enter into their prayer closet and the Holy Ghost speaks to them in their hearts and- VOILA!!!! They have the TRUTH.

Now I know that not everybody who claims this meaningless title fits the description above, but some of them do. And all of them ought to consider systematizing these doctrines and calling them something.

That's the same thing Jim Jones said, and David Koresh, and Rob Bell, and every other heretic whose ever preached heresy.

You mark this down- when somebody answers that way- heresy is not far behind. They themselves may not be heretics but they will produce it within a generation.

Every person who calls himself a Christian thinks he bases what he believes on the Bible. EVERYBODY.

I cannot imagine a more worthless claim.

The question is, "What do you think the Bible is saying and HOW did you come to think that?"

    That's all that matters.

It does not matter how many verses you can copy and paste.
It does not matter how you "feel" in your heart.
All that matters is your hermeneutic. If you are not going to show your hermeneutic, then you are doing nothing but blowing hot air.
