It may be said that angry feminists tend to insult men by calling them weak.

LOL I am amused not angry . I was not expecting that kind of response. I guess you can't say I'm being Misogynistic since I'm a women so you have to dismiss it by saying I have repressed sorrow.

God works in mysterious ways. And sometimes not so much.

Look at this thread and just these few pages. Look at what a hate filled article has inspired Christians, Baptists, to become in response to it. And in remarks to one another.

God knows his church is better than that.

IMHO you can be a strong women and be anti-feminist. I see no contradiction in that position and I respect you for it.

I know some women who are very right wing, anti-feminist and are also very strong. I have a very good friend, we were high school classmates, and politically we do not agree on much of anything. That does not color my respect or my affection of her ... not of her respect and affection for me. My spouse is also good friends with and and she agrees with our friend even less than I do.

So, be strong. Don't let men dictate what you are to think or believe. Be true to yourself.

CatMommy, do you think your improving the perception the world has about the feminist movement with your histrionics ?

I do think Crabtownboy is an excellent spokesman for your movement.

Sorry….gotta appreciate the string of non-contradictory statements. Your reply, Rolf, should have been an appreciation of CatMommy for proving your point as well (but be careful...CatMommy's got claws ).

You know what it usually means when men are told they do not like "strong women"?

It means "it ticks me off that you will not tolerate my in your face attitude about what I should or should not be doing!"

Strong women are never in your face or obnoxious like I have seen in this thread. The average perception of women as to what a strong one should look like usually is act like a man.

Strong women are secure in their quiet submissiveness. The project a lady full of grace and femininity rather than a lumber jack in a skirt.

The feminist movement is evil and no Christian should be a part of it.

And you are not an in-your-face fellow? Be slow to anger. Do you believe it ticks them off when you tell them what they should or should not be doing instead of calmly and rationally discussing it?

    Define in-your-face.

Oh you live in a very narrow world. I like strong women, but never women who act like men. Why would they lower themselves to that level?

Women who think they are strong by acting like a man simply exhibit insecurity similar to the man who believes that women should always bow down to them and their beliefs.

I knew you would bring in submissiveness and I know what verse you are thinking of. However, like men who like to dominate women you ignore the following verses that shows the man has a much greater submissive role than the woman and as men ignore that submission women are not bound to submit to a dictator who will not adhere to his responsibility that Paul explains very clearly.

You cannot demand submission by your wife unless you will also demand of yourself:

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”

This is a greater submission than that places on women. Christ gave up his life for us. You are to submerse your own desires so that you can be to your wife as Christ was and is to us and the church.

Your misguided understanding of true femininity. There hyper feminists that I do not care for ... but those are the ones who sound like hyper men.

I have a Feminist sister. It would take three pages to tell you everything that's wrong with her.

But it might take four pages to tell you everything that's wrong with me.
