I have yet to meet a demon, but I have met a many an evil person. And if demons control some people, then they aren't really responsible for their sins and actions and I like thinking the Osama's of the world are 100% responsible for their evil.

When I do run into a Demon, I'll post the event here.

Maybe, maybe not. There are various levels of demonic oppression and control. In all cases though, people have given themselves over to evil in the process.

They are still responsible, not matter how heavy the influence/control.

    Okay. :D

Demons are spirit--spirits don't crawl up people's legs in the dark!! They crawl up into people's MINDS in the spiritual dark!! Folks can become obsessed with the thought--"There's a demon in my TV set!" So, the preacher comes in and does a search!! He takes the back cover off--looks in with his flashlight--ain't nothin' in there but switches, and little "Gizmo's"--circuits and little things that get hot when the electric current comes on! Then he says, "Well! Lets just turn this thing on . . . !" BINGO!!

Haunted house?? Doubtful! Possessed by demons? Hardly--more in likely--the little lady in the story above--feeling something crawl up her leg--turn the light on, lady--I mean, there is such a thing as King Snakes--I have a brother in law who has a house--no lie!! He wakes up in the middle of the nite--there's an aweful racket going on in the bathroom---sounds at first like a "Hant!", don't it?? He clicks the light on--its a dad-gum Rat Snake crawlin' around the sink--before he can catch it--it goes into its escape route--you guessed it--the toilet!!

My home church in Baton Rouge--one particular person is there late at nite--he hears a door slam shut--he goes to investigate--conclusion?? Demons in the Baptist church--gotta be! Nothin' else could have done that?? Right?? No lie!! My dad and I are there later on on another occasion by ourselves--we're walking along--hear a door slam--we go to investigate remembering what the preacher done said--we open the door wide--nothing!! We back away a little bit and watch--there's the door easing itself shut and then when it gets about 3/4 shut--it gets a runnin start and "BAM!!" So we look inside the door again--then through the hallway inside the door we see it--OH, MY Stars!! Somebody done went and left that window open over there and its creating such a draft in here that there is a suction being formed in such a way--the suction catches the open door like a vacuum cleaner--the only way to realize what was happening was to stand in the middle of the doorway going into that room--then, and only then could you pick up on the suction caused by that draft--the window open--close the window and the problem disappears!

But folks get caught up in that spiritual trap--there's a demon behind every door waiting to pounce on me and tear me up like Mike Tyson! Get your mind on Jesus, folks!! Let your mind stay on Him--and He'll keep you in perfect peace!!

Somebody needs to go to the haunted house there in Texas and get that Rat Snake out(or that Skunk, big rat, or whatever varment it is--Heck--somebody buy me a plane ticket to Texas and I'll go!! I ain't gotta go into a long spill--explaining the bizaar things--just go back and read Helen's posts--she's done pinpointed the problem--read 'Cynic's posts--both sound pretty logical to me!

I almost forgot the rest of the story about my brother-in-law over in Alabama with his Rat Snake buddy "in the middle of the nite" visitor. The brother in law goes into the bathroom--the lid is up on the toilet---"good nite, there it is!!" The Rat snake buddy---he grabs it--the snake's head is down the drain--swimmin' like heck!! My brother-in-law is 6 feet 1 inch--top the scales at 255lbs--me and him wrestle with calves all the time---but try as he could with all his might--he could not get that snake out of the drain--and had to let go!! Rat snakes are constrictors like king snakes--the lady in Texas?? Probably her toes and feet looked like dinner--the snake grabs it in the dark and starts constricting---her mind is on demon channel---"Don't come in! Its got me!!" and fast as it got her it lets go and goes back into its little covey hole!!

Somebody buy me a ticket to Texas and I'll go get that Rat Snake!! 'Cynic--are you with me??

    Your friend,
    Blackbird

Many scholars which have studied the New Testament writers have concluded that not all the writers finished thier writings in a short time but they continued them for many years. This could explain the difference in the way the end of Mark is worded. We also have to remember John Mark got most of his stories etc about Jesus from Peter and it is possible he may not have finished it until after Peter grew older.

To say that the last chapter does not sound like Mark the last chapter of Matthew did not sound like Matthew wrote it. When I have said this people get offended and say there is no validity to that. I say there is just as much validity to Matthew 28 not existing originally as Mark 16.

I have a bible from the 1800's and this chapter is in it so it was no Charismatic who placed this scripture. Also this would mean that the Bible is not errant and infallible. -
