Simply put, if we don't have a "pre-trib" event, will you be able to manage and muster up enough faith to face what will be a nasty few years of tribulation?

Brother Paul, regardless of what happens here on earth, those of us who have been saved, God will make a way for us to go through any and every thing that satan throws @ us. Not that we can do this on our own, but through and by God, we can make it.

Philp 4:13 states that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. With God being for us, who can be against? I am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I committed into His hands against that day. He will not have us tempted above that which we are able to bear. And even in that time of temptation, He will make a way for us to escape.

God is too good to His children, to let them be cast to the wayside, Brother Paul. He will hold us up, and make us able to stand against satan and his minions.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:??????

Then maybe all those weapons we've been stockpiling won't go to waste.

Many face that challenge today in their lives. The news (both the media and what we see around our communities) is filled with horror stories that can test the faith of believers. For example, having to watch a young child die from cancer. Or facing the news that their own cancer is terminal. For example, seeing a storm or fire destroy everything they own and possibly take the lives of family members, too.

The only difference I see is the scale. Katrina compared to a tornado that destroys a dozen homes in a small town. We all have to muster up enough faith to face our individual tribulations, as they happen.

For me, it doesn't matter much one way or the other, as I don't have many years left. Physically I doubt this old body would withstand the "nasty few years". So, whether caught up in the clouds or in my final earthly abode, my concern isn't for me. It's for my great nieces and nephews and whether they will have the faith needed. Due to the wide range of ages and of convictions, some will and some won't.

In any event, my belief is that I'll already be with Him or will go to meet Him when that glorious sunrise heralds His return. In the meantime, I pray that the Holy Spirit will help me bear the load of whatever befalls me between now and then.

Depends on IF the Lord is able to keep us, and present us holy an blameless to the father regardless if we go through tribulation period or not!
per Jude, think He can and will!

Given that I don't believe in either a literal 7 year tribulation or a pre-tribulational rapture...I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Please make plain sense when asking people questions; I don't like having to exegete your questions.

I don't see a 7 year tribulation being taught in Scripture...because it isn't there. (Neither is a singular figure called the AntiChrist.)

How curious. Then how do you parse 1 John 2:18, which clearly distinguishes between the singular and plural: " Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." And in the Greek, there is a definite article before the first one, "the Antichrist." (There is also a definite article in 2:22 and 4:13.)

    Agree.

God will hold us up just as he did for our early Christian brethren when they endured 300+ years of terrible tribulations.

    As Always....

...I can count on Willis to come through with solid wisdom.

My wife and I do not hold to pre-trib ideals, and believe that we must be ready for whatever comes, knowing that He is able to keep us.

    Thanks for your comment/input...:applause:

As one of the elect I would plan on having my armor on and standing firm when the false Christs appear showing signs and wonders and when those who have been deceived by the “Any-moment Flyaway Escapist Doctrine”, or A-FED for short- as in, A person that been FED a bunch of bull, start sprouting wings to go flying away to wrong guy I would be there trying to lasso a few.

Considering Daniel prophisied of 70 weeks which were determined for Israel and each week was a 7 year period. We saw the 69 weeks fulfilled when the Messiah came and was cut off. What we haven't seen is the final week of Daniels prophecy fulfilled of 7 years of Tribualtion as man has never seen.

    Based on

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Notice Daniel said 7 weeks 3 score and two weeks form the command to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the coming of Messiah that would be 69 weeks Based on the fact that Christ came and was cut off 483 years after that command, that would leave the 7th week of the 70 to yet be fulfilled. From completion of the rebuild untill Messiah was cut off was to be 62 weeks. He has yet to confirm the covenant with many for a week or 7 years. The abomination of desolation has yet to be placed in the temple for 3 1/2 years of that time so the 70th week of Daniel is yet to be fulfilled.

Mat. 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Mk. 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

The abomination of desolation had not yet been fulfilled in Christ time. By extra-biblical History no event such as this has taken place.

Of course we have Revelation 7: 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Which says the great tribulation will have believers killed during it and come to heaven out of it.

Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

42 months is 3 1/2 years this is the first half. 1260 days is 3 1/2 years the prophets will prophesy in Jerusalem and neither of these has occured.

Revelation 12: 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Again 3 1/2 years the second half of the 7 years.

This has yet to occur. So yes the Bible is very clear there will be a time of tribulation and Daniel and revelation set it at 7 years.
