I know some do not like what if questions (if a frog had wings..........) but with all the criticism of Romney, my question is, would you rather have had McCain, either Bush, Ford, or Nixon as the nominee this year? I leave out Reagan because IMO, he stood out as a good President. Also, think about the VPs that went with them like Spiro Agnew and Dan Quayle.

Out of your choices, I'll stick with Romney. I always felt he handled himself very presidentially in the debates and he looked very, very presidential last night.

I actually feel he is a better nominee than McCain, whom I regard as a RINO according to his voting record. At least, Romney hasn't disappointed me yet. GW disappointed me. And Nixon had a lot of issues IMO.

I was very young when I shook hands with President Nixon. When Watergate first came out, I dismissed it as liberal media nonsense. The day Barry Goldwater asked him to resign, I knew the nation had been snookered. I had no use for him from then on. Yes, Romney is an improvement from McCain.

That's weird because I was just thinking yesterday that Romney is a better candidate than McCain, Dole, or George W.

In the context of who is the better candidate, I guess I would take Romney over everybody you mentioned except George Bush Sr.

Bush Sr. was super qualified to be President, not just because he was VP, but also because he had been a congressman, the UN ambassador and the head of the CIA. The guy was Mr. Resume.

Romney's background in business turnarounds is exactly the medicine this country needs to get moving again. His skill set really fits the times we are in.

I could say one of the Bushes but I will stick with Romney. He was sharp enough to pick the right man for VP. I would also note that Rubio is a very sharp and charismatic [even though I don't like that term] man!

Win or lose, I think Paul Ryan will be the face of conservatism for many years to come (much like Reagan).

What if . . . the democrats and republicans all served the same globalist masters?

Oh, wait that's a fact not a what if.

    My bad!

I hope Romney wins. I really do. Then I get to watch you all do your best to explain why the continued training, funding and arming of Islamic extremists is good policy.

I'm going with Nixon on this one. In today's climate he could post on his Facebook page, "I am a crook. Deal with it." After 650,000 or so 'likes' we'd move on to something else like the etymology of the name Bubba.

Nixon forged the trading ties with China. How is that working out for us?

Buick is a big hit over there, I got a good deal on a studio mic and there are now four all-you-can-eat China buffetts within 5 miles of my house.
