How is it any more biblical for a man to do this?

Especially to the sacrifice of his family.

And, too, my feet have to go to work. Someone has to pay the rent, and my man does not exist.

Baby, if this woman took a job from a man, he wasn't doing what he was supposed to do to begin with. He needs to get a grip and walk like a man. Don't give me none of that jive talk.

    Am I a feminist? Heck, I don't know.

A.) I am single, and glad to be. But I love my man, and I let him be a man. He knows and respects what I can do, and comes to me for what he needs that I can provide. I know and respect very much what he can do and I go to him. He is one of few men who is more intelligent than I, so therefore I don'thave to sit there and go "duh" because I outwitted him.

B.) I can be submissive to a man I respect.

    C.) I don't want my man's job.

D.) I would never ever consider dissing my man. I would be silent to listen to him teach or to learn from him. But if he is wrong, I would let him know within appropriate actions. I have yet to find him wrong, though, that the Holy Spirit hasn't corrected. (I guess that means I don't necessarily have to be the holy spirit to my man.)

But do so because they feel the need to have a career and or a fancy lifestyle. This takes a job that a man might need to feed his family.

Again, if my being in the work place for ANY reason keeps a man from having a job, then the man is a jerk and needs to learn some trade skills. That is putting the blame game on me for a man not doing what he needs to do to care for his family. And, in that respect, then, you said it yourself, a woman can do what a man can do, even better.

For a long time, I thought that ANY type of feminism is bad. Then I grew up!
I am prolly one of the most politically incorrect women.
I have no qualms whatsoever if a Christian woman, married and with kids wants to work. I think it is a decision that is between her, her husband, and GOD.
I as a married Christian mother worked outside the home for a while and I loved it. I got the job because I was qualified to get the job. I kept the job because I stayed qualified to do the job. I was promoted to new jobs because I learned to do those jobs.
To me, the label feminist has been taken to an extreme. ALL are created equal. I have no problem with equal pay for a woman IF she can do the job. I have no problem with a woman who is qualified getting the job over ANY man that isn't.
I guess when I think about it, I am a bit of a feminst. I guess I am with Karen on this: I am a feminist in the old fashioned meaning.

When I think feminist I think of those NOW feminazis. Granted there are pro-life feminists out there....

I pretty much agree with our "feminist foremothers" such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton. They believed that given that women were treated as property, it should be demeaning to women that children were property to be disposed of as seen fit (i.e. abortion).

    Here's what I believe:

I believe in equal pay for equal work.

I do NOT believe in wages for housework! Get real "ladies"! Traditionally your husband brings home the money, you keep house--it's teamwork! I get flak from women who say they don't want to have to depend on a man. So it's better to run the 40-hour-a-week rat race? I have a full-time job because our finances dictate it, hubby wants me to work. I wish I could stay home with my son. As I indicated in another thread, I'm on LOA because of my ankle, which I see as a blessing, because I can raise my son!

I don't believe women are property or are to be treated as second-class citizens (like not being allowed to drive). I DO believe that women are to submit to their husbands, who, BTW, are commanded to love their wives. I know woman was created FOR man.

A woman can be independent, however. Take a single woman who chooses not to marry so she can serve God better (I'm thinking about what Paul said about marriage...not "enforced" celibacy). Of course she's going to have to get a job and everything. She does not have to marry. It is good that a woman learn how to do things on her own, in case her husband dies. My husband's mother is way too dependent on his father, and should my father-in-law die, she's gonna be up the creek!

A woman should have skills, but when married should submit to her husband. You guys see what I'm saying?

And IMO abortion is very anti-femininity. What makes a woman a female is the ability to bear children (of course I know about barren women). Women are trying to copy men, dressing like them, chopping off their hair, and acting like pregnancy and children are huge burdens. I feel sorry for them.

    Alexandra,
I like you website. Thank you for speaking out against these lies. And I agree completely with your last paragraph.

I would like to add though that I personally believe that the feminists of old lead the path to what we see today.

I have to jump in here. My husband said he wants our relationship to be 50/50. That's what *he* decided. I think the husband can dictate the terms like that.

BTW I don't care for tight jeans either....

I wear pants--but I wear pants that are *obviously* women's, as my husband likes me in pants. I do prefer to wear skirts. My hair is long, past my shoulders in fact. I believe in a wife submitting to her husband.

I can see the objection if I dress like a typical truck driver. But wearing jeans that are designed for women, along with a feminine top--you can easily tell my gender that way. I think that verse has to do with transvestites. Just that somewhere along the line someone decided, at least in the Western world, pants for men and skirts for women. I think it's a matter of customs.

I meant I agree with their stance on abortion. I sometimes wonder, though, what their intentions were. I also think somewhere along the line some feminazi took their ball and ran with it.

That being said, I'm not sure about married women voting. Shouldn't the entire family be in agreement?

Boy, I wonder if THAT will open up a can of worms...!

    Barefoot and pregnant! LOL Betty!

Of course married women should vote! In fact, I study the candidates and my husband asks me what I've found out about each one. I'm a politcal help-meet I guess.

Bible doesn't say anything about women not voting. Women are not door mats.
