    John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now my kingdom is not from here."

    This is one of my all time favorites.

    As a Christian Pacifist, I detest violence.

    As an unsaved teenager, I was appalled at all the fighting, bickering, war, animosity, racism, sexism, meanness in this world. I longed for PEACE. My parents fought a lot, physically and verbally. I got saved as a 15 year old, and found peace and the kingdom of peace and the prince of peace.

    To know that there is an otherworldly kingdom, and it is not achieved or defended by carnal strife and warfare, and it is presided over by Jesus Christ...

    ...that fills me with JOY.
