X Files
the episodes of Red Dwarf I've seen are wonderfully campy
Seinfeld (although toward the end it got more than a little tired)
Family Ties (dirty little secret [IMG] )
I Love Lucy
The MTM Show
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
Law and Order and L&O: SVU (haven't gotten into Criminal Intent, though)
Star Trek: TNG
Fawtly Towers
The Vicar of Dibley
Buffy (another dirty little secret [IMG] )
Northern Exposure
60 Minutes

I think those are the top 15.

Oh goodness!

So many of my favs have already been posted!

I don't like the newer Star Treks though...

My favorite from the past few years would have to be Ally McBeal, though....She reminded me of me!

Umm....Anything off the screengem network!

Cartoons would probably have to be...oh...goodness....Darkwing Duck was a good one and Tiny Toons were AWESOME!

Show that I watch now....at least I try to as much as I can would be.....7th Heaven! It's a good show!

Can you believe that Eric's proposed?! Can anyone fill me in on what happened after the episode he proposed to the Jew?

Most of my favorites have already been mentioned. Mystery Science Theater 3000 was perhaps the funniest show ever. Too bad it's only in reruns now. Cheers was a good 80s sitcom, but only the Diane years. Anyone remember The Equalizer? I always enjoyed that show. I liked The X-Files but was disappointed by it's unresolved ending. Currently, I watch Enterprise, although it's not as good as previous Star Trek variations. I also watch Stargate SG-1, Monk (dryly funny detective show) and, occasionally, Smallville. Not many sitcoms appeal to me anymore. In general, TV is just loud with little substance or intelligence these days. [IMG]

MST3K was, indeed, great.

There are so many I *ssshhhhhh* forgot about.

I absolutely loved MacGuyver. Who else could make a hang glider out of a wedge of gouda, a bowling ball, a wire hangar and a bowl of chili? [IMG]

M*A*S*H has got to be one of the best shows around. It came on last night after I logged off, and I about smacked my forehead for leaving it off my list. Some of the episodes Alan Alda directed are incredible.

I'm realizing that there are a lot of shows I watch that are embarrassing to mention. I watch Blue's Clues every Saturday morning I can! And I'm 25 years old and no, have no children to use as my excuse! It's just not the same without Steve. :(

One of my guilty pleasures in high school was Doug. But only on Nick. Once it moved to abc, it wasn't as good.

I got my parents hooked on Ren & Stimpy (if anyone remembers that one!) and still yearn for the days when You Can't Do That On Television was on the air.

[IMG] I'm such a dork! [IMG]

And I probably watch too much TV :D

Everwood ( I want to move to Colorado)
Gilmore Girls
Enterprise
Star Trek the Next Generation (D & I used to have T.V. night when we were dating, and this is what we watched...we were sad when it got cancelled)
The West Wing (just discovered this one, probably my favorite on this list)
ER
Survivor
The Great Race
The Mole
Quantum Leap
McGuyver
Providence

This shows dangerous liberal tendencies, Wisdom Seeker.

:D

P.S. It's a great show and a wonderful education on American government. Usually after a new episode, a friend at work will ask me about some obscure point raised in the show and how it fits into the Constitution and federal law. Sometimes I have an answer; sometimes I have to do research to find out. Not a bad outcome for an entertainment product.

This shows dangerous liberal tendencies, Wisdom Seeker.</font>
[IMG] So do I. I consider myself a conservative with liberal roots, being brought up in the 60's, I used to be Pentecostal and a democrat until 1994.

I love anytype of entertainment that isn't filled with canned humor and predictable plots...on the occasional night that I can watch something without the constant interuption of my children. I think it's well acted, and beautifully filmed. Sometimes I need mre from my entertainment than sit-coms. [IMG]

Ditto</font>
To be honest, the reason I loved this show as much as I did, is because I thought and still think the lead actor is gorgeous. :D And now He's on SG1...which I watch occasionally just to see that gogeous man.

Hi, everyone,

This is my first post in these forums. Glad to find a whole bunch of other Baptists! (Hi, brothers & sisters!)

I really like reality shows, especially Survivor, The Mole, and Big Brother. I have to watch them with a ten-foot pole, though (once thought I wouldn't even watch them with *that*). There's something so fascinating about games where ordinary people have to live together and undergo various weird competitions. I think the most interesting thing is the relationships, and I think it's wonderful when some of them triumph over their greed and play cleanly.

Well if I really want a big old belly laugh, I watch Jack--- on MTV. Not even close to a good Christian show. Just a bunch guys of acting out the way I did as a teen. Only I didn't go quite as far. They have some serious issues.

But my favorite TV show of all time is Home Improvement. UHUHUH. I could be Tim's long lost brother or something. [IMG]

I forgot about Home Improvement, I really liked that show, but my husband on the other hand didn't... I think it had something to do with all the marital bickering. He's not a fan of wisecracking woman... I don't know why. ;)

I love these shows, too! I always say Survivor is my favorite of them, but deep down I think my favorite is probably The Mole. I love that show and would love to be on it someday. The Amazing Race is good, too. The only stinky thing about being on that show is they never stay in any of those beautiful places long enough to enjoy them.

I just heard that "Girls Club" has been cancelled. It got great reviews, but the rating were low. Just goes to show that sometimes we viewers just want mindless fun entertainment. But enough about "Enterprise"

If women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

The handy man's secret weapon - duct tape.

Sorry, we have been restoring an old house, and those words get thrown out just about everyday. :D ;)
