I just read NFL running back Shaun Alexander's new autobigraphy "Touchdown Alexander" and he was talking about how Psalm 37 was his life verse. That got me to looking for my life verse and I have found one in Galatians 5:16 which says This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fufil the lust of the flesh. I feel this is what the Christian walk is all about for me, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct my words, thoughts, and actions on a daily basis.

    What is your life verse??

Hard to pick one. I guess we all would pick Psalms 23 as one but I have this one in my thoughts a lot because of all the heart surgeries.

    Isaiah, chapter 38

"5": Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

I have to remind myself daily that I am nothing without Christ and I can do nothing without Christ. He is my life. :praying:
I also have this imprinted on the cover of my Bible where you usually put your name.

    II Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

It's been my life verse since I got saved and will be forever.

Isn't that what 'life' verse means???

    Psalms 34:

15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

    Mine is...

"Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."- Jeremiah 6:16

    Romans 5:1-5

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.

    (and especially this)
And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

2 Corinthians 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Romans 8:[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
