What makes a version endearing & enduring?

So what is needed in the American church is not more Bibles, but a revival of obedience to the Bible the believers already hold in their hand!

To give perspective, though, the Gospel is much more available iln America than it is in Asia. The typcial American can go his his Walmart and buy a Bible, while the typical Asian would have a very hard time getting his hands on one. I imagine Korea is the exception with its large Christian population, but in virtually all Asian countries a Bible is very hard to come by--not to mention the Christian radio and television shows, Internet sites and bookstores Americans have, not to mention the vast number of churches.
