I got up to get some coffee, and there was none. Someone didn't put it on the shopping list. So as i'm going to 7-11 to get a coffee, I'm reminded of the "parable of the ten virgins"

Matthew 25:1-13= Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
vs. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
vs. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
vs. 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
vs. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
vs. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
vs. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
vs. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
vs. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
vs. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him th the marriage: and the door was shut.
vs. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying Lord, Lord, open to us.
vs. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
vs. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Are you ready for the bridegroom??

    PS. Don't forget the COFFEE!!!

I'll have coffee once every 6 months or so and will then drink the whole pot. I also like it at Cracker-Barrel but prefer Lipton tea, please.

It's not about the coffee!! It's about Gods word, the parable of the ten virgins. The coffee made me think of being unprepared, like them 5 virgins.
So my ? is do you have oil for your lamps.

I love coffee. The only thing about it is it reminds me of my days of smoking and tempts me. I used to have a cigarette with coffee every morning but I quit smoking.

P.S. I'm drinking a cup as I type this now.

Coffee is a lovely cup of hand warmer on a early cold morning. After it cools it should be thrown away.
