What other people think of me is none of my business thus it is of no concern to me.
Um... OK. However since that is all you said, I feel that you need people to think that you don't care what you think. That's the only explanation as to why someone would start this thread.
What is important is what I think of myself. I really cannot control what others think, so it is of no interest to me ... not at my age.

People at peace with themselves feel no need to proclaim it.
For people doing right and being persecuted for it, that is a good thing. For other times, shouldn't we strive to keep a good and honorable reputation among others as is within our reasonable power?

When you ask someone a question, do you care more about the person's tone, or the information you are receiving ?

I've never known anyone who emphatically says they don't care about something ["I don't care! "] who really doesn't.
As disingenuous as one who condemns political speech as not befitting a Christian, then proceeds to engage in it himself...
