Actually, the vast majority was against Obamacare.

The majority was in favor of reform, but reform within the private sector, not at the cost of government involvement.

    He did.

But for what purpose and how long did it last?

It doesn't matter what I want. It's just going to happen. You'll be praying for just a 17% increase before it's over. If an insurance company is going to be forced to lose money, they'll just drop your group like a hot potatoe. You won't like what happens next, either.

This isn't over yet. Demcoms dishonestly ignored points of order yesterday and it will be challenged in the Senate at reconciliation which could send the whole thing back to congress.

Nothing can stop the bill that was passed yesterday from being signed and becoming law.

All that can be sent back to the House is the reconciliation bill.

I am with Christian Medi-Share and from my understanding there is no real provision for medical sharing plans. So I'll have to purchase insurance at a much higher cost or face penalties, etc. The government doesn't trust me enough to provide for my own family in the way that I see fit. Rather, Obama thinks that he and his government knows what's best for me and my family. Personally, I wish Obama, Pelosi, and all the other bed wetters would butt out of our life.

Yeah, I was going to say...

Hitler did make a great nation out of Germany. Granted, it was a morally bankrupt nation led by an evil dictator and his thugs, but if you can overlook the socialism and that other little thing, Germany was doing really well.

The best thing about this passing is that the republicans will now gain an even stronger majority with coming elections.

Since most of this bill doesn't take effect for four years there will be enough time for a new congress and a new president to undo much of this.

Hopefully this time if the Republicans take control the actually get some good legislation passed and don't waste away the opportunity like thy have in the past.

As far as this bill, it is a shame the democrats chose to go it alone and didn't incorporate any of the republican ideas. It would have been nice to see the option for consumers to purchase insurance across state lines, and be able to choose their insurance in an ala-cart manner instead of taking what is chosen for them.

My one big question about this bill is are the subsidies that will be offered going to be available to those who purchase private insurance or only those that purchase from the government formed buying pool?

Oh, goody. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Republicans are not the answer. Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats.

I don't have a very high regard for any of them. I do believe however that republicans do less damage than democrats, and every so often some do some good.

It appears that thirteen or more States will be challenging the contitutionality of the bill.

That's alot of lawyers too. :)

Are you seriously asking this question? One main answer (there are many more). This health care bill sends our tax dollars to support the murder of children in their mother's womb. ANYONE who condones or supports anyone who would vote for such evil, in my opinion is a practicing murderer themselves!

==No, because it would still be unconstitutional.

We're waiting for the "public option" on cake-baking.
