Maybe we could get this country back to work and being productive if we taxed pension income at 63%.

Obviously if someone receives a pension they had a great job at one time and have already gotten more than their fair share.

It's about time to redistribute some of that good fortune.:saint:

so, since I don't "need" it, you can take it. I see.

And who gets to decide how much I "need?"

Look, the Bible doesn't defend unabashed greed, and neither do I. And the Bible tells us to give, and to take care of the helpless poor. Absolutely.

But it rankles me that someone thinks they can decide "need" and therefore take the excess...but then again, what did those moronic framers of the Constitution know, anyway? "Pursuit of happiness..."

Washington State case law is that pensions are deferred compensation.

But many people - maybe even most - don't have any pension at all.

Why would you be unwilling to redistribute yours to those who have none.

    Maybe 63% is too low.

Maybe we should make it a 68% tax on pensions.

Heck, according to Bill, if you don't "need" it, we should just take all we need.

In 1950, that was known as "theft."

In today's era, undoubtedly, it is known as "tax policy."

What does this little fact have to do with your presumed "right" to confiscate some of my earnings for yourself?

    Billwald would love this voter:

If Obama is elected, in her words, "I won't have to worry about my car payment or my mortgage."

OK, folks that wish for the re-distribution...this is the whirlwind you will reap. Thanks a lot.

You have your head in the wrong place. Your lawyer employs paralegals, office staff, rents an office or purchased one, et. If their $250/hr is taxed at a higher rate like Obama will do...he will move out of the office into his home and fire half his staff.

The person able to hire the homeless guy is the guy you and you ilk want to tax more and redistrubute their wealth. Guess what...there will be no job. Business is in business to MAKE MONEY. The person making 250k or more per year (which is usally a small business) will not buy that expensive car that the assembly line Obamaite is voting for. They are trying to vote themselves a tiny $500-$1000 check next year...and they will get it if Obama is elected. But they are going to feel pretty stupid with their employment check and that annual bonus courtesy of those who work hard.

That's the answer! It's not government - it's private business that increases wealth.

I can tell you this much. The owner of the small business my husband works at has already said fi obama wins she can not hire an additional man next year, and may have to let someone go. Thats 2 jobs gone. We do know it won't be my husband, he's her #1 man, longest emplyed there(18 yrs) that she depends on.
