What the Republicans Should Do With Obama's Jobs Bill. Pass it. Pass it exactly as it stands. Make no amendments, make no changes. On one condition. As quid pro quo, Republicans get to cut spending 50% higher than Obama's recommendation to the Deficit Reduction Super Committee. Obama's recommendation to the committee was to cut the deficit by $1.2 Trillion. Now he wants to pile on another $430 Billion. OK, that's a total of $1.63 Trillion. Add in another 50%, or $815 Billion, for a total of $2.4 Trillion and we have a deal, Mr. President. Obama's ideas are a rehash of stuff that hasn't really worked. Let him have his Jobs Bill. Pass the bill, implement it, and when it fails, he will be the biggest *ss in Washington, absolutely unelectable. Republicans can then cut the deficit to their numbers and just after the 2012 election, wherein a Republican becomes President, the economy will start humming again. The whole notion of spending your way out of a recession will have been put to death. Obama's out of office. Everybody's happy.
