What about a Presidental Candidate would prevent you from voting for that individual, assuming he was otherwise qualified.

I realize some choice might have "disclamers". For example, a man may have been divorced 20 years ago, - would that make a difference, as opposed to someone who might be going thur a divorce. Pro abortion could mean anything from partial birth to allowing in cases of rape.

So Plese vote and let us know why you voted the way you did

    Here are the choices again

    DIVORCE
    HOMOSEXUAL
    LESS THAN 2 YEARS COLLEGE
    MORMON
    MUSLIM
    NON MILITARY VET

    WOMAN

I would not vote for a Muslim candidate at this point in this country's history, not even for a half-Muslim like Barack Obama.

The issues will be complicated and in some instances may cause conflict in the candidate's personal, political, and religious loyalties.

How can you call a Christian "half-Muslim" just because of his dad?

Nobodys talking about hate. Just trying to choose the best person to lead this country. This country who is currently at war with two muslim countries.

A muslim may be fine with that war, but there is that chance.

I would vote for a Japanese president now, But I would not have during WW2. Would you have.

None of the above, in my opinion. I'd even vote for a Christian if the situation warrented it.

This is very surprising to me. You vote exactly like I would have expected except for:

"PRO ABORTION As a last resort, very last"

I wonder, are you are setting the stage so you can defend Giuliani if he should get the Republican nomination?

DIVORCE: Considering all the "fooling around" various presidents have done I don't know why this would be a problem.

HOMOSEXUAL: While I don't like homosexuality I don't know that I would refuse to vote for someone, for a secular office, simply because they were a homosexual. It would depend on their positions on the issues. However, and I must be honest, if I knew that a candidate was a homosexual it would certainly reduce the chances of me voting for them.

LESS THAN 2 YEARS COLLEGE: Not a factor.

    MORMON: Not a factor.

    MUSLIM: Not a factor.

NON MILITARY VET: Not a factor.

PRO ABORTION: If they are proabortion they do not get my vote. I will not vote for someone who supports the slaughter of innocent children.

    WOMAN: Not a factor.

==I don't know about other people but I do know this: I will vote for Giuliani when they start serving snow cones in the lake of fire. That is not a joke either.

Oh my no. I could never vote for him. He's against everything I stand for. I actually don't think I could support a pro abortion candidate at all. Changed my mind. What I had in mind was a candidate that had changed their mind about abortion, but after considering hillary's change over to Christianity, I've reconsidered. Neither seems genuine.

So in other words, to paraphrase one of your heros, you would have voted for him before you didnt.

I noticed that three people said they would never vote for a woman, and seven said there would be other reasons they would never vote for an individual.

Just wondering why the no vote for a female, and what are the other no-no's?

If I ran, would you all vote for me?:1_grouphug:

Are you pro-abortion, pro-Islam, pro-homosexual, anti-God, and generally anti the American way of life?

Are you willing to sign a statement of faith?
