I think we are to have some concern for our enviroment, as we are to be good stewards. But to dwell too much on it, making it one of our focuses is to take our focus off who we are responsable too, it turns our concern into a religion. As it has already in the world, we too easily buy into it. This world is not meant to last forever, it hs a planned end, there will be a new earth. I believe in not trashing it, I don't throw trash out the window, I try to be conceouss of how I dispose of certain items, I think cutting down trees for the heck of it is wrong, shooting animals just becasue is wrong. But in the course of human life on planet earth, the earth is not going to remain perfect.

Have to agree that this is perhaps one of the silliest "controversies" in the news. Why oh why would well-meaning Christians demean our precious Lord with such a stupid question.

If they want a subject to debate, let it be over the means of receiving God's grace. Fuss over salvation by faith alone vs works, rituals, rites.

And let the granolas and tree-huggers worry about spotted owls being hit by gas-guzzling SUV's. Like mine.

Call me silly, but I find this question frivolous and deeply offensive....

If Jesus were here He would drive anything that he wants to drive.
He has the right to say to one of his disciples,"go to the dealership and drive off in a particular car and if they ask what you are doing tell them that your master has need of that car.
I don't believe that Jesus would go in debt for a car.
