For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom He paid was not mere gold or silver. 19 He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 20 God chose Him for this purpose long before the world began, but now in these final days, He was sent to the earth for all to see. And He did this for you.
    1 Peter 1:18

I'm not sure which version this is. I saved it many months ago when I came saw it and loved the wording.

"Therefore since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3

"See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure."

At present we are men looking at puzzling reflections in a mirror. The time will come when we shall see reality whole and face to face! At present all I know is a little fraction of the truth, but the time will come when I shall know it as fully as God now knows me!

Like some others, I have more than one favorite... but to pick just one I would have to pick the one that's been my most favorite since I was a kid and probably will be until I draw my last breath on this earth... John 3:16 KJV

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7:For he that is dead is freed from sin.

I was raised in a church that taught you can loose your salvation. These verses mean a lot to me when it comes to eternal security.

My favorite verse in the Bible is 2 Cor. 5:17,

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (NKJV)

I also especially like John 8:32-36,

    32. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.''
    33. They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, `You will be made free'?''
    34. Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
    35. "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
    36. "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (NKJV)

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

    Psalm 40:1-2

    1. I waited patiently for the Lord and he inclined uno me, and heard my cry.

    2. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

I like straighandnarrow's verses from Revelation, or ANY verse where we are told about the completion of all things and the end of these things.

Life has worn me down and it is uplifting to be reminded that God will be there at the finish line.

My favorite passage is Deuteronomy 29:5.
During the 40 years I led you through the desert, your clothes did not wear out, not did the sandals on your feet.

After all our disobedience and complaining, God is still concerned about our personal needs.

I feel His love in this passage and am reminded of my love for Him when I read it.
