The whole family is going to a high school football game tonight, so we need something quick and easy. BLTs on french bread with Tomato Soup for tonight's dinner.

Baking a turkey breast w/ poatoes and gravy. A precursor of sorts to Thanksgiving.

Oven fried chicken with a lime sauce over it. Self-made trial recipe, turned out great! Had buttermilk biscuits and broccoli for sides.

We smoked a 10 pound pork shoulder (same as pork butt) for pulled pork sandwiches. It's been on the grill since 1:45 a.m. We took it off 15 hours later (1.5 hours per pound cooked at around 200-210 fahrenheit) and it will sit wrapped in foil in a bowl, covered with a towel for about an hour at the least. This makes it re-absorb its juices and makes it very moist.

Roasted potatoes with it, baked, flattened, roasted in the broiler until golden, topped with olive oil, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper (home grown and home made thai dragon peppers).

I fell asleep in the middle of making it. *sigh* I got as far as getting cheddar bratwurst and two steaks on the grill.
So it was that and whatever my darling husband made for sides. LOL
Hopefully tonight will be better! It will somehow include scalloped potatoes, no matter what it is. YUMMY!

Venison tacos and green salad. I have been having migraine/sinus issues - not feeling well and napping a lot today - so this will be easy!

O'possum fajiters, sweet n' sour pig's feet, and groundhog stir fry.

Foreign cuisine with a touch of "hillbilly twang".
