We can really ONLY know IF we are saved, but would say that he was saved, as when he will was read to his family members, he left to them the "Greatest gift that he could bestow upon them" the Gospel of jesus Christ, and urged all of them to put faith in the Lord and to get saved and be with him in heaven...

Nothing is missing. The story is as Dickens intended it to be. I wouldn't look to Dickens for Christian teaching on any subject. Reading Dickens is laborious, but I do like A Christmas Carol. I like It's a Wonderful Life, too. It's like the antichristmas carol. Instead of the protagonist seeing how his greedy behavior has cost those around him, George Bailey sees how is generosity and sacrifices have benefitted them.

Would tend to see him just as CS lewis, JR tolkien, as christian writers using their tales to tell us how life is to be sen through their characters from a christian perspective!

Not writing another Gospel, but alluding to its meaning through their works!

I wouldn't classify him with Lewis or Tolkien. Lewis and Tolkien created allegorical representations of their theologies, but Dickens was simply a liberal, and his writings serve the purposes of Socialism more than that of the Gospel. I'd classify him with John Steinbeck.
