What's with the Name changes?

    It seems like here lately, people are changing their board names. Sometimes it is hard to figure out who they are unless they have their picture posted. Is there a reason for this? I liked everyone the way they were. Of course, I can think of one or two whose previous name didn't fit and it was a good thing that they changed their name.

    Hi, Walls, I can only answer for me.

    I am still thankful and I used Thankful when I first joined the board because I didn't know if I should use my real name or not. After awhile, I discovered that it was all right to use my first name as some people were doing. Maybe I should have changed to Thankful Betty and then you would recognize me. I did make a post as others have done to alert people to the change.

    I guess you can say the reason for my change was I was more comfortable here using my first name.

    Some people knew that I changed my name. My name used to be PreachtheWord.

    The name my earth parents gave me was Clark Kent.

    My real name is Kal-El from my parents on Krypton. My dads name was Jor-El. In the picture, that is my wife, the former Lois Lane. My son's name is Dan-El (pronounced Daniel).

    I changed my name once because I lost my password and didn't know how to navigate through the BB... Then I was Adam1946... Since then which has been over a year ago I changed it to Tyndale1946 and it has been that ever since.

    Preach the word and I have crossed paths many times and everyone that has had a chance to discourse with me know who I am and what I believe!... They may disagree with me but that is okay... I'm sure if you ask many on here they know who Tyndale1946 is... Screen names may come and go for others but I still remain Tyndale1946 or as those on the BB know me as... Brother Glen :D

    Thankful, I had no idea you had changed your name. I am glad you posted to this so I know.

    No WisdomSeeker, I wasn't referring to you. But I was surprized when I seen Laurenda. Is that your real name?

    Well, all over the internet I am known as MissKitty62656 (yes I'm dating myself, it came from Gunsmoke and I saw the very first episode on a black and white TV). [​IMG] I didn't know if that would be acceptable here or not so I came up with this one because I AM blessed to have 16 beautiful grandchildren! But I will always be Sue [​IMG]

    I changed mine but you can still tell who I was, katie. I got tired of seeing mine for 2 years. Been considering useing my real name too, but then no one would know who I was.

    Walls, Yes it is. Someone was starting to call me a variation of WisdomSeeker that I didn't like. That's why I changed it to my real name. But in the end... I like the name that has more meaning for me...Like Walls of Jericho I imagine.

    Oh well, It's a woman's perogitive to change her mind. ;)

    Cannot envision folks NOT using their real name on a Board like this? Know that some want clever cyber-names, but WE GOT YOUR PICTURES, dude! :eek:

    Actually, I signed up here as a "newbie" to Boards and Forums, and when it asked for my name, I gave it! Duh. Didn't know you were supposed to come up with Zorba or Allah or KayEl or whatever. :rolleyes:

    Hey ExxonMobil...why are your prices so high? You know the working person who commutes 130 miles a day cannot handle those high prices. And by the way...how are the cleaning up of all those oil spills going? Killed any more wild life lately.

    Change it back...come on...or at least pick something that is better suited to you. Your not a money gouging, air poluting, ooops, we sunk another oil tanker kind of guy are you?

    I would change my name but I wouldn't recognize myself. Go figure.
