The original piece was Catholic art. This remake is politically correct Catholic art. There's little Christian about either work.

It is not politically correct. There should be a rainbow behind the scene. And there are no Chinese, American Indian or gay people in it. And kangaroos. We need a kangaroo in there somewhere.

Hey, if you have ever been to the Vatican you would know this is pretty tame. I saw more nudity there than at the checkout aisle of Walmart.

I was less concerned with the nudity than with the image of God (god) as duelistic.
Michangelo would have be drawn and quartered if he painted such an image on the ceiling of a bathhouse.

God the Father is neither white nor black. We read into Him male characteristic from the Bible but he is sexless as well. He is a being that we cannot define in human terms because He is so far above us in everything. Anyone who tries to define Him in human terms attermpts to put Him in a box and limit what He truly is.

Are those who complain about the Google ads willing to share the financial costs of running the board so we don't have to have them?

as many times as I put in my two cents worth, I figured ya'll would be rich by now.

Hey, Roger...Why don't you moderators take a pay cut? That way, they wouldn't have to run so many of them thar' offensive ads.

So we compromise scripture, nothing new on the bb.
Share the costs huh,,, what about in the old baptistblog, when it was still up and running, andrew writing that the bb was now making him a profit, lets see, people donating, making money from false religions who advertise here, yep all together a nice little profit.

So.........exactly what is the problem with a fellow making a living off of his work? I suppose you also have a problem with paying your pastor?

If you ain't got the discernment to know what is what and all that jazz then perhaps you could create your OWN discussion board which suits your fancy and then you could run things YOUR way.

I have enjoyed posting on the BaptistBoard for a long time and I really appreciate the time and effort it takes to maintain it.

I wasn't complaining about the content of this particular ad --- I didn't report it.
I just thought it was strange that the ad labeled itself as Christian---when IMHO it was quite heretical (and that's not a word I use here very often).

...and no, Rbell, I'll save my $15 bucks for the book.
