I've been discouraged and wanted to quit many times, once even depressed, but I've never felt that all hope seemed lost.

Famous pioneer Baptist missionary to Burma Adoniran Judson did once, though. When his wife died, he dug a grave for himself out in the woods, and would go out and sit by the grave in depression, wishing himself in it. God brought him through it by His grace, and Judson went on to do a mighty work for the Lord.
