This will be my last post on the BB until next year. By that time, we will more than likely be inaugurating Barack Hussein Obama as our president. And while I didn't vote for him, I could see the hand writing on the wall. Americans want change, and who could blame them? Change is needed. The politics as usual have become stale and stagnant, and this nation needed change more than experience.

The problems with substances and experience that Obama lacks is something most people won't see until he is in office for at least a year. But, because he speaks so well [reminding me of what the coming anti-Christ will be like], he has taken the nation by storm. And while I don't view Obama as the coming anti-Christ, he is like the kind of person that will appear and take this world by storm. Obama is giving the church a glimpse of what a smoothe talking, charasmatic like person can do to capture the favor of a world hungry for change and HOPE!

But, turning back to Obama, I predict he will come down to earth, and so will the masses that elected him to the office of president. With this in mind, I ask the following questions, only as prophetic utterances and manifestations that I prayerfully see coming in the next 18 to 24 months.

I wonder just how long Obama will be in office before those who stood and cheered him on to a landslide victory in November 2008 turn on him because he too, was unable to deliver on the "hope" and "promises" he so eloquently shared?

Just a Side Bar Minute: The Obama Wave of Popularity reminds me a lot of Jesus on Palm Sunday as the crowds cheered Him on with shouts of "Hosanna!" And within a week, turned on Him and demanded His death!

I wonder how long Obama will be in office before he sees that talking to terrorist regimes is better done at the end of cruise missiles, bombs, and bullets?

I wonder how long Obama will be in office before he discovers that Bush wasn't as bad as he proclaimed throughout his primary against Hillary?

I wonder how long it will take the American people to see that the office of president is nothing more, nothing less than a figurehead-rubber-stamp-high-priced-leader who represents the American policies? The President is more like a puppet on a string, being controlled by the wealth of this nation. The wealthy, and powerful [who hide in the shadows of the United States government] are the true powers-that-be who decide what direction this nation will go! Change will not come in the person of one man elected to the office of president...

    Shalom,

I think his wave will settle into the beach quite well and die out in about 8 and a half years.

Let's go ahead and start saying "President Obama" outloud. Okay everyone, together...;)

    Interesting perspective.

But here's a question: Should we expect his wave to crash?

There are many calling him the Messiah, I suppose they would help you cry out his name, but not me, if you don't mind.

Been thinking along these same lines; America is in for a rude awakening I'm afraid.

Unfortunately, I believe this regardless of the "winner", but this one will, IMNSHO, be the worstest of the lot!

His charisma has duped a lot of folks, but the day of reckoning WILL come.

MARANATHA; and the sooner the better!!!

Well, it looks like George Bush will last an entire two terms. Unbelievable. Obama couldn't be more destructive to America than GW.

He has pointed out to Jews that his first name as related to Hebrew means "Blessed "

I too agree with RD2 on this... there is just something scary about him.

“Those looking for Obama's views on the Mideast won't find a great deal. In 2004, he disappointed Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada by giving a speech to Chicago's Council on Foreign Relations endorsing the U.S. alliance with Israel. Speaking before Jewish audiences during his Senate campaign, he reassured them that his Swahili first name, Barack ("Blessed"), is a close relation of Baruch in Hebrew.”

He has a muslim background, Jewish sounding name meaning "blessed" (close to anointed) and is a professing Christian....

If he would combine all three religions into one, he would be very powerful.

There is plenty of substance with Senator Obama:

I think that those of us who support Senator Obama will be very pleased with his presidency if it is the Lord's will to so bless these United States.

I feel that way about most of our politicians.

When will his wave crash? When the media picks another person to idolize, just like they did with Princess Di, Bill Clinton, Anna Niccole Smith and various Hollywood celebs. A few years ago the media adored the Clintons, now they've dumped them for Obama. The cycle will repeat itself soon.

I sure agree with this. The media, is what put Obama so far out in front.

Senator Obama is so far out in front because he offers positive, substantive change from the disastrous George W. Bush administration and the devisiveness of Senator Clinton.

"So far out in front..." Who is he out in front of? Hillary?

I really haven't seen polls in a couple of days, but the last I saw I didn't see anyone "so far out in front" of anyone else.

    peace to you:praying:
