A couple of days ago I was reviewing the new posts and saw a thread under the category "Calvininis/Arminianism Debabe (All Christians). I went to the thread and was able to read the posts. But no such category appears on the main menu, at least on my screen.

In my advancing years I am used to forgetting things I want to remember. What do you call it when you remember things you've never remembered before?

    Can anybody explain this mystery?

I saw yours and Ed Sutton's posts in the General Baptist Discussion and I feel a lot better now about my mental health.

As I recall, I went through the New Post option, and clicked on a thread. Out to the right, it said Calvinism/Arminianism Debate. When I opened the thread, at the top left it said it was open to "All Christians."

Webdog mentioned that there used to be such a category a couple of years ago. That was before I joined the board.

The mystery continues. Maybe a moderator or administrator can solve it for us.

Have you noticed that the moderators have imposed the cone of silence? It sorta reminds me of a friend of mine who used to work the the National Security Agency. Spy Stuff. Her father asked her one day,"what big project are you working on now?"

    She said,
Dad, if I told you I'd have to kill you."

    Mods,

    Never mind.

But of course. Meet me at midnight under the lamp-post by the park bench right in front of the boat ramp on the lake--the one near the spillway that you can walk across to the playground next to the petting zoo, and we'll swap secret stuff.

The C/A section devolved into incivility. It was shut down.

Oh, I have no doubt of that, swaimj. Especially given that the tone of some of the current C/A debates are still considered civil.

P.S. The good thing about it was that it kept the ardent Calvinists/non-Calvinists in their own area. Now they have to make comments on other threads. In a way, it was good to have that forum.

I agree. If you wanted to engage the topic, you knew where to go, but you could avoid it and still discuss other topics.

This is just one more reason why I wish the BB were like the old days.
