I was just wondering today as I got the morning newspaper (which I don't read)... How many people have made the switch to online news as their primary source of information?

==I mainly use the internet and radio (XM's POTUS 08). I will watch CNN, FOX, or MSNBC once and a while.

The Enquirer, People Magazine, Bible Believer's Bulletin, et al. would fall under "Other", I guess. Or possibly "Don't bother with news".

My routine upon arising is to turn on the TV to my local station, which has two hours of news and other stuff. Then I fire up the computer, which boots me to my home page, the Drudge Report. I scan the headlines on Drudge for items of interest, and check my favorite columnists. By that time, the morning paper has arrived, and I go through it fairly thoroughly.

    I guess I'm a news junkie.

Tom, I wouldn't have taken you for a Drudge guy - O'Reiley maybe, but Drudge surprised me.

    Surprise is good :wavey:

The local news paper skips a lot of local news. I subscribe to the paper from the neighboring county.

Why I get my news right here at the Baptist board. There are enough people that seem to think they know more than me, and clearly they tell me enough.. So I get my news here..

If I don't hear it from someone on this board, then it's just can't be so!

Just kidding of course... I channel surf alot for my news. Sometimes a station will get hung up on a story that I have no interest in. An example would be the shooting at that mall. I feel sorry for those people and familes, but I don't need to know that guys life history... etc.

I also get alot of news from the web.

I never watch TV unless there is a good movie on, so I never watch the news. I get my news 'word of mouth' 90% of the time. If I'm particulaly curious I might read an article or two in the newspaper, or read news sites online.

Local paper for local news. CNN or MSNBC for the main headline. Various online sites for the rest.
