oh and by the way...I believe KJVO is right but I ain't about to say that souls can't be saved without it. I am KJVO # 4 by conviction. But as long as you got your 'sword' pointed at the same enemy as I do, I really don't care how big or how sharp it is, just as long as souls are being saved, TO THE GLORY OF GOD.! Amen?

So many today stand, read a verse or two, and procede to blindly go where God never intended. Why?

So many in our churches today are biblically illiterate. So many have no idea how to defend what they believe. So many parrot what they hear from the pulpit without ever bothering to check and see if what they were told lines up with God's word. Why?

Where does the fault lie for the anemia found in our churches? True, people have become lazy and lax about reading God's word. True, television is more than just stiff competition. True, the moral climate of today is at an all-time low. But are preachers without blame in this matter?

How many can remember a sermon where the preacher began with the presentation of the Scriptures, followed by an interesting exposition of those self-same Scriptures, and ended with something other than "Thus says the LORD!"? How long has it been since from the first words you were convicted by the Holy Spirit? How long has it been since you were moved by God'struth and not emotionalism stirred up by the one ranting and railing?

Just some things to ponder. I know I have been.

    In Christ,
    Trotter
