Sinners sin. Sinners are accustomed to sinning. That is the teaching of the verse. The three illustrations are parallel truths. What one teaches the other teaches.

The scripture does not say all are accustomed to sinning. The Bible does not say all love darkness instead of light. That is not in the Bible. That is a manufactured belief.

There are three parallel truths set forth in that verse. Unless you are willing to deny or change either the teaching of the first two to fit your ideas of the last statement, or change the teaching of the last statement to fit what you think the first two are teaching, you are left only with one option. That option is that all three teach the same thing. All have natures that from birth onward do not change. Whether they be black skin or spots on the skin, or sinful nature, they will not change throughout their entire lifetime. And all three grow accustomed to it. Without twisting the first two or the last one, you cannot deviate from this one truth, for all three teach it.

The scripture is about those who are accustomed to doing evil.

There are three sources. The last one by Carm, is an evangelical apologetical site. Note that all three state the same thing--the same beliefs that you hold to:
    1. A denial of original sin, or the sin nature of man.
    2. The assertion that man's nature is basically good.
    3. The denial that we inherit from Adam a sinful nature.

Those are the fundamental beliefs of one who holds to the heresy of Pelagianism. That is what you have been spreading on this board. These are your beliefs, and they have been outside the realm of Christianity now for how long? At least the fifth century, if not before then.

I explain it. You have no explanation; only denial. Your denial thus means nothing.

The Bible says those who are accustomed to evil.

You don't want to believe the Bible and that seems to be obvious here.
    The three statements are parallel.
    All Ethiopians have black skin.
All leopards have spots on their skin.
All sinners commit sin and are accustomed to it: no one excepted.

    All Ethiopians have black skin.
All leopards have spots on their skin.
    Those accustomed to doing evil.

You add to the word of God and change it. You say, "All sinners commit sin and are accustomed to it: no one excepted." The scripture says plainly, "Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil."

Do not lean to the left or to the right of God's word. Do not add to it or subtract. Do not go beyond what is written.

I wasn't quoting or reading God's Word; I was explaining or expounding on it. You don't like the explanation, have no way of refuting it, so simply deny it.

Despite the argument against me, my beliefs stand concerning Jeremiah 13 and John 3. Not all are accustomed to sinning. Not all love darkness instead of light.

It was Jesus that said: "Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil."
    What exceptions did he make?

John 3:21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Not much of one. You will have to explain it to me.
I was explaining God's Word to you. Do you want further explanation? Do you want me to send you a commentary? What do you want?

That would only leave you more confused. I cannot do that. You need help.
I was offering my help to get you out of the cult of Pelagianism; to see your heretical view in adopting this view of Scripture. It is named after a man for a reason. You are following the theology of a man that is a declared heretic. You need help.

    Moriah,
I have been on this board over seven years, and have had several heated debates. However, most went beyond the third grade level. I have never seen such a total misunderstanding of basic Christianity and a lack of common sense as you have expressed in this one thread. Your comments transcend any differences between God's sovereignty and man's free will.

When you are at the point you need to make fun of my posted name (based on a hobby of mine called astronomy), you have really lost it.
