I was watching the news this evening. They had footage of Rosa Parks' funeral service. I didn't see George Bush. I don't think I saw a single Republican. Am I wrong, or did no Republicans show up? Did anyone else notice this?

I noticed Bill Clinton was there. He was telling how he and two of his friends, when they heard what Rosa Parks did, got up & moved to the back of the bus. I didn't know that Southern white kids 8 or 9 years old were that involved in civil rights back in the 1950s...but maybe it was just me.

Were there certain Republicans you were looking for? Was this your objective in watching the funeral service? Just curious. Because how can you tell who is a Republican or not?

For those fans of Bush who watch his every move...this was recorded in several news sites. Make sure you put it in your diary now, we wont want to forget where the President was during a funeral.

I do. He will turn any event into an opportunity for self glorification and we all know he has no problem lying.

It's pretty simple, the Republicans were dis-invited. If they had showed up, Jesse and the "Rev" Al would have pitched a fit. The media would have accused the President of attending with some ulterior motive.

As to Clinton- typical. Sounds like some preachers whose illustrations are nearly always about themselves.

Well, you know he is, after all, truth challenged. [IMG]

I simply found it curious that I saw no Republicans, that I recognized anyway, in attendance or speaking.

The thing that really got me, was how Martin Luther Kings Daughter, took Ephesians 2:6, so far out of context and tried to apply that to Rosa Parks!

She needs to read this Scripture:

Also, Did anyone else see the crazy "Pentecostal" outbreak during the service, when that one guy was praying or whatever he was doing... Considering that was a Baptist Church, I'm suprised that sort of thing was allowed to happen.

    Bible does say:

Anyhow, It was a LOOOONG funeral, they said they tried to tell everyone, 15 minutes a piece, that worked for like 2 speakers... [IMG] [IMG] I respected the lady and all, But the Bible does say...:
