    I've been to Southern Baptist and IFB KJVO. My grandparents are Southern Baptist and I went to their church twice. I'm IFB, KJVO, for lack of a more distinct choice (no offense to the poll creator) [​IMG]

    You know, I have visitted a lot of Baptist churches over the years, but in only ONE case did I worry about which "kind" of Baptist church it was -- and that was AFTER I had visittedc it!

    The GARBC pastor who visitted me after my visit to his church was so anti-"everything but GARBC" that I told him I would never attend his church again, and asked him to leave.

    Since that visit (nearly 20 years ago) I have never been to anything except SBC (by choice). Still love my Baptist brothers and sisters in other groups, though!

    I've only been to one Baptist-type church that wasn't Primitive Baptist (Old Line). I went with my g-aunt and uncle to their SBC church out of Griffin, GA several years ago when my family was up there for a family reunion. Not really my cup of tea. Very different than what I am used to, and passing a plate, which I've never done before, was very odd and uncomfortable for me.

    Never heard of a Baptist church NOT passing the plate (at every service no less). James, are you sure you're Baptist???

    Visit my sister's SBC church and mom's IFB church when I visit them. Personally prefer the SBC, as it is much closer to our own church.

    Ok, having trouble with somehting called javascript and can't open the poll. But we have only been to SBC churches, and a few times, years ago to a charismatic churches with some friends. Oh, and the methodist church, when we had a church fire in the middle of revival week and they let us use their building for revival.
