Which lyrics

    Suppose there was a secular song that many enjoyed - but the lyrics were not pleasing the Lord. Then say, you wrote Christian lyric to said music.

    Would you see a problem using the music from a secular song for a new Christian song?

    I think it would depend on the song. I understand that music can just be music and lyrics can just be lyrics and a number of Hymns and other sacred songs are based off of secular melodies. However when you replace a popular secular song with Christian lyrics it could still cause people to think of the original lyrics which depending on the song I think that could cause some issues.
