It's been a warm winter here so far.

    Not so for everyone.

The mid-west US has been hit hard.

    So too Jerusalem.

    SNOW IN JERUSALEM

I've always considered the snow on my nativity set as an oddity.

Guess I'll have to reconsider things.

That's odd Rob... I've honestly never seen a nativity with snow on it! Or maybe I'm just so non-observant that I don't notice it (most likely the problem.) I know all of mine are snow free anyway.

It's been very mild here as well... I think our weather forecasters said in the Nashville area, we have less than an 8% chance to even see snow on Christmas Day every year. All we got this year was a cold rain. ARGH!

A lot of Nativitys here have snow on or under them.

We had snow on Christmas eve this year along with a foot or two (depending on where in the valley) already on the ground. Right now it is just really really cold.

Some parts of Tasmania and Victoria even got snow for Christmas Day, and this is summer!! was in the 30's celcius the week before, with major bushfires. Will be back in the 30's by New Year.

    Regards
    Bob

Is the snow in summer considered bizarre?

From what I see on the news you got your foot and then some. At least in Denver. The one that is hitting you now dumped a foot in Southern Utah on its way.
