No matter how many times I hear Casting Crown's Who Am I, I am always moved. Anyone else a huge fan of this song?

Actually, I love this song, but am more moved by "Voice of Truth" from that same CD. To hear Mark Hall's testimony about that song (Seen on the Casting Crowns: Live from Atlanta DVD) is even more astounding.

Are we talking about Rusty Goodman's song entitled Who Am I? If so, it is a very powerful song that has been recorded by several top Southern Gospel groups.

I don't know if someone else sang it. All I have heard is the Casting Crowns version. So Joshua, I am guessing this is an album worth purchasing?

Great song- I've heard them sing it live:

    Artist: Casting crowns
    Song: Who am I lyrics

    "Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt,
    Who am I?
That the Bright and Morning Star,
Would choose to light the way,
    For my ever wandering heart,

Not because of who I am,
But because of what You've done,
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who You are,

I am a flower quickly fading,
    Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean (ocean),
    A vapor in the wind,
Still You hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling,
And You've told me who I am..
    I am Yours.

    Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin,
Would look on me with love,
    and watch me rise again,
    Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me,

Not because of who I am,
But because of what You've done,
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who You are,

I am a flower quickly fading,
    Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean (ocean),
    A vapor in the wind,
Still You hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling,
And You've told me who I am...
I am Yours, I am Yours.

    I am Yours,
    Whom shall I fear?
    Whom shall I fear?
    'Cause I am Yours,
    I am Yours."

Great song, great album. Worth the purchase and the time spent listening to it. I taught Mark everything he knows about playing the keyboard.  [IMG]

Pastor Bob - not the same song, although both are indeed powerful.

Chipsgirl - it is very much worth the money. One of the only CD releases in the past couple of years that I liked every song, and was deeply ministered to. I give Casting Crowns an 11 out of 10 stars!

I just posted about Casting Crowns on the Heart of Worship Thread.

I am really impressed by their lyrics. Definitely breaks out of the stereotypically weak P & W lyrics.

I like both songs, but having heard Voice of Truth for the first time this morning, I have to agree with Joshua, its a great song. I am going to have to pick up that cd for sure.
