yes, I recognize the name.........but I don't know that anyone should be called an "awesome fighter". Most of what I saw there was definitely not awesome.

Why bring up such a place here?

 

the FFF is pretty much unmoderated, I think.

Stuff gets out of hand there from what I've seen.

I prefer the mods taking care of business as they do here.

Fighting other Christians doesn't light my fire.

Isn't one of the qualifications of a pastor "not a brawler?"

 

Well, he's not to be a "striker", which implies someone who is combative or pugnacious or a brawler. Does that include a boxer? He doesn't do it in anger, so I don't know.

The implication is someone who does it in anger, and is quick to anger, but do we look at the implication or the word itself?

FFF is an embarrassment. I went over there thinking I would enjoy the "freedom", but man, there's some downright ungodly stuff going on over there.

Some time ago, when Herb Evans was banned from BB, I posted a protest. Now, I don't know why I did that. Herb really is obnoxious and is a good fit over there.

 

I'm a regular at the FF, and once you learn which posters to read and which ones to ignore, it is a good place. The charges of ungodliness are unfortunately well-earned at times. That is the downside to no moderation (or at least VERY limited moderation). The downside to heavy moderation is that sometimes you don't really get a good feel for who a person really is. There are pros and cons to both. There are some good folks at the FF and there are equally good discussions that occur.

 

I agree Chad...for instance, there is this trouble maker over there named Bob Griffin....:laugh:

 

Doesn't he cause trouble everywhere he goes. BTW, the FF must be down again.

neverthemore, I have to go to the Dr's today anyway...so...it was for my benefit one way or the other...LOL

He's not a Baptist

I saw one of his books on a book table last week. Knowing the preacher selling the books, I am surprised to find out the Bramer is not pastoring a Baptist church. I personally do not know the man, but have read some of his posts on the sister forum.

 

The FFF is a disgrace to the Fundamentalist Movement and to Christianity itself.

I wouldn't go that far....but...it does have some sore spots...

especially all the modernists out there trying to correct Fundamentalists over EVERY inkling.
