It is just a cultural expression here referring to first year college courses which are usually at the 100 level. In my case I was arguing that I thought this was something we all agreed to...

    - 2007 method
    Tee Hee - 1984 method

You may be singing, but the SBC is playing the tune.
The doctrinal statement of this board is the
SBC 2000 Statement of Faith. Tee Hee

There is a huge difference between London Baptist Confession 1689 and SBC Statement of Faith 2000.

London Baptist Confession 1689 clearly stated :
-what are the scriptures : OT 39 books plus NT 27 books, there is no way to think about Apocrypha

    - Head of Church : Jesus Christ, then rejected the pope as the head of te church but defined the Pope as the Anti-Christ

    - Baptism : Believers Baptism ( SBC 2000 also), Immersion

    - Lord Supper : Rejected Transubstantiation clearly.

I am not sure SBC 2000 was prepared in lieu of London Baptist Confession 1689 or it was just a form of simplified confession of faith. But I can feel a certain retreat from the stance of 1689.

    See the confessions here:

There is a link like this:

    http://www.baptistboard.com/sof.html

at the bottom of each page of the Baptist Board (BB).
the SOF of the BB is the BSF2000 (Baptist Statement
    of Faith of 2000AD )

Anyway, SBC statement of Faith is much weaker or milder than London Baptist Confession 1689. Check the controversial articles.

I feel a bit stupid replying to my own post, but when I looked at it today, there was a ;) smiley after the above bible quote. I don't know how it got there, but I know I didn't put it there. It seems very inappropriate. (If the Moderator could remove it from that post, I would be grateful, as it is obviously much too late for me to edit it out). Thanks.

In Daniel 7 he (little horn power of Dan 7 that comes out of pagan Rome) is said to "think to CHANGE times and LAWS" -- this is not "a law unto himself" but it does show a link between this power and the Laws of God being changed.

I've worked out how the smiley got into the bible verse. Romans 2.15 ends (in the AV/KJV) with "excusing one another" followed by a semi-colon and a closing bracket - exactly the symbols used to create the smiley!

The other bad one is a verse citation ending in 8 (like 8, 18, 28, etc)
that is parens. Eight / 8 / followed by end parens / ) / is
the symbol for a smilie with sunglasses (he is so cool!)
