Who Was Darius The Mede?

I am in the middle of a course that I am taking and I am having a problem finding information on Darius. Can anyone tell me who Darius was and what is his part in the Bible?

Er . . . have you read Daniel?

In case I misunderstood your request, what research have you done? I assume you have at least tried to look up "Darius" in the encyclopedia, if not more.

If you weren't older than me, I'd say this sounds suspiciously like you are trying to get us to do your homework for you.
