Technically, the theory discussed above is called The Spiritual Kinship Theory. It is IMHO a sounder working hypothesis than any of the other theories.

7 The priesthood of all believers, who form the universal Church, the Body of which Christ is the Head and which is committed by His command to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world.

    Matt,

I agree with you on each point except #7. I cannot see that the church is universal. There are many reasons I believe the church is not universal, but primarily that if you accept believer's baptism, one that is a believer but not baptized certainly is not a member of the church, or else baptism serves no function when you make the church invisible.

I have read the link you supplied and have it copied it to a cd.

As the late Dr. Richard Weeks (Professor of Baptist History and Polity, Marantha Baptist Bible College) laid them out to us in Baptist History there are three basic theories of Baptist history:</font>
    • The English Separatist Theory:
The EST posits that todays Baptists in the US and the British Isles came out of the English Seperatist movement. The Seperatists were Puritans who gave up on purifying the Church of England and seperated from the CofE.</font>
    • The Landmark or Chainlink Theory:
This theory posits that it is possible to trace physically today's Baptists back to the New Testament era through a succession of organizations.</font>
    • The Spiritual Kinship Theory:
Like the Landmark Theory, the SKT posits that Our Lord meant what he said when he told the Disciples that "the gates of Hell would not prevail against" His church. However, the SKT looks for groupings of like faith and practice as outlined above rather than a strict mother-daughter relationship</font>

Whether it is possible to tell, what baptists were not new religion in 17 century, and had ancestors?

I don't think, from the available evidence, it's possible to trace ancestors.
